SEO-on-page



In search engine optimization, on-page optimization refers to factors that have an effect on the  Web site or Web page listing in search results. These factors are controlled by you or by coding on your page. Examples of on-page optimization include actual HTML code, meta tags, keyword placement and keyword density.

Head section optimization

Head section optimization mainly focuses on the snippet and it includes SEO title, URL, and meta description.

Snippet

The snippet can make more attractive by using the star rating is termed a rich snippet.

  1. Title tags

Define the title of your web page or document. They’re mostly used to display preview snippets of our web pages. When we are writing our title tag, it should be always short, clear and does not contain but duplicate content from the page content. 

The ideal length of a title should be 50 – 60 characters or 512 pixelsIf our title tag exceeds 60 characters, Google will only show the first 60 charactersGoogle cannot display long sentences which have more than 512-pixel width When they exceed more than 60 characters. The title tag represents the whole content of your web page. 
  • No spelling mistakes.
  • No grammatical errors.
  • Never use the same title on all your web pages, that means the title should be unique.
  • The title must be clear and impressive.
  • Do not use full capital letters only we can add capital letters at the begging of a word.
  • The title should be bold. The title must be clear and impressive.

2. Uniform resource locator (URL)

A URL is mainly used to point to a webpage, a component of a webpage or a program on a website.

3. meta description

It describes the content of the webpage. It will write inside the meta tag. Rules for writing a meta description are
  • The description should be unique and attractive.
  • No spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
  • A focusing keyword can be used in the contents
  • Pixel width can be 1024 px
For a page, the meta description should be 155 to 160, Which is a pixel width of 1024.

Body section optimization

 H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6 are the body tags. H1 tag is the visible part or identity part of the body section. It is generally used for the main heading. 8-10 words can be used in the H1 tag. If H1 is not relevant, google take the heading from the H2 tag.

Content optimization

Content is the informative part of a website. Content can be text, links, images or any other thing. The main part or visible part of the content is anchor text which is a hyperlink added to the text. A hyperlink can act as a reference link. So focused keywords should not be used as anchor text. Rules to be followed while content writing is

  • The beginning sentence can include a focusing keyword.
  • Use simple sentences up to 20 words.
  • Put space before full stop and comma.  

keyword density

The keyword density specifies the number of keywords that appears on that page compared to the total number of words on that page.  2-5%  is the normal way and keyword density depends upon the length of the content. 

Image optimization

Image optimization means using images within your content is a great way to make our site up. Save the image using the keyword that we focused on. And also alt tag is also used for image description. An alternate is the expansion of the alt tag. 

How to do authorship optimization

  • Create Google plus profile. 
  • Give the label name on your page. Then click LINK button > Add URL of google plus profile > OK
  • At the left top of the page, click HTML > Add attribute rel="author" into the anchor tag.
  • Save the page.

Internal linking


Internal Linking means, linking one page with another page on our site. It gives a great chance to improve our site. In internal linking, try to use a keyword as the anchor text. The benefit of Internal links makes more audience to stay on our site.   It also helps to build the relevancy of a page to relevant keywords and phrases, whilst also helping to increase the Google PageRank of your pages.
